Deadly Sins Challenge – Day 4: Gluttony (I Scream for Ice-Cream!)

Hello guys! Well I had some free time today and as I won’t be having much I decided to do another mani for the Deadly Sins Challenge. I skiped day 3 because the theme was sugar spun and I really don’t like how that looks and I have never tried it so i went for the second theme of the sin which was ”Skip your diet and make something that makes your stomach growl!” and my most absolutely favorite thing in the world is Häagen Dazs Belgium Chocolate ice-cream. I mean I’d die for a spoonful of it, it’s so delicious. It’s a bit pricey but I have tried buying other brands and they aren’t quite the same. Nothing compares to yooou!!! Sorry I’m being weird let’s just get to the point and show you my Häagen Dazs inspired design.

Here’s a close up of my thumb. On this finger I only did the gold and red pattern, the typical pattern.

I’m actually quite proud of this design. Today I recieved my package of nail tools and stuff and I used them today for the first time, nail brushes, dotting tools, nail wheels… and more. Here are the brushes I used for this design.

After doing this design I’m sooooo hungry for ice-cream and I don’t have any!! Well I better stop talking abouut me. Here are the colors I used for this mani.

Well guys I hope you liked my design. What’s the thing that makes your stomach growl? Don’t forget to like and comment to let me know what you think of this design. Happy polishing! ………..I WANT ICE-CREAM!!

Deadly Sins Challenge – Day 2: Lust (Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!)

Hi guys! Well this is my second entry to the Deadly sins challenge. Yeah I know I said I would only be doing one design per sin but as the theme for the second day was ”Let your body talk and feel free to do whatever you want”, what I wanted to do today was Beetlejuice nails and why not entering them in the challenge too?

Well you all know I’m just a beginner so I don’t really do much realistic nail art so I decided to do a cartoonish version of Beetlejuice, just there on my ring finger, popping up. On my middle finger: his purple shirt and his black tie, so typical. And on the rest of my fingers just black and white stripes just as his suit.

On my right hand I decided to do Lydia instead of Beetlejuice, but it didn’t turn out quite well. I just left it as it was, even though it’s a bit of a nail fail.

These are the colours I used for this design. As I said on my last pos,t I have been using the same colors in the last manis, so for this one I did a drastic change!

Hope you all liked it. Don’t forget to like and comment if you have any questions or just to speak your mind and tell me what you think about this design. Happy polishing!

Outfit Inspired / Flower Theme Tutorial

Hi my lovelies, well today I will be showing you how to do this cute design for spring. It’s really just a flowered mani but it’s also inspired in this summer dress I love and I can’t wait to wear. So let’s get the show started!

1. Paint your nails with your favorite base coat to protect them and then paint them with a base color. I chose Not a Greenager from Catrice, the most similar to the green of my dress I could find.

2. Sart painting a small thing line on your nail using a nail art brush or dotting tool.

3. From the centre of the line make little lines to create the little petals of the flower.

4. Repeat it until you have two or three flowers on your nails, remember not doing them really close because you have to fit in the stem.

5. With the same technique we used to do the white flowers we will do the centre of the flower in another color. I used this light red. Like before, paint a stripe (smaller than before) and from the centre of the line make little lines.

6. With a dark green, the same we will be using for the stems of the flower, make irregular dots in the middle.

7. Draw the stems of the flowers in different directions with a dotting tool or a brush using the same green that we used to do the centre of the flower.

8. Apply your favorite top coat and the design is ready!

I hope you like this mani and don’t forget to like and comment. If you try this design let me know, I will be happy to check it out. Happy polishing!

Deadly Sins Challenge – Day 1: Lust (Outfit Inspired)

Hello my lovelies. Well today I am starting this challenge. Day 1 theme is ”Be a bad girl and make something you have wanted to do soo badly”. I’ve seen lots of people making outfit inspired nails so I’ve wanted to do them for ages. The design is inspired in a wonderful summer dress I bought some time ago and I LOVE to wear. It’s sexy, cute and sweet and really really comfortable.

The colours of my design aren’t really the same as my dress… that means…. I should probably buy more polish ha ha ha! Any excuse is a good one.

Here’s a close up of the pattern so you can see it in more detail:

Well and as this mani is outfit inspired i should have been wearing my dress but weather today is totally shit, raining and cold. I relly can't wait for summer to come! Here you have a little selfie where I am wearing my dress, I put it on specially to show you guys.

Here are the colors I used for this design. I know I have been using these colors a lot lately, but I'm just in love with them. Don't worry I am planning on using  more warm colours for my following manicures, I still have to use my new oranges from Essence and Catrice.

I am planning on uploading a tutorial on this flowered design. Keep tunned in! Don't forget to share, like and comment and check out the other designs for the challenge! Happy polishing!

Sant Jordi!

Happy Sant Jordi day to all! I guess most of you are thinking, what the hell is she talking about? Well let me explain. I live in Catalunya and on the 23 of April we celebrate Saint Gorge/Sant Jordi which is the patron saint of Catalunya.

I’ll explain a bit my design. Sant Jordi is the day of the rose and the book. So men buy roses for women and women buy books to men. Why, you will be asking? The legend says that a dragon had a village terrified and to keep it controled they offered a sacrifice to feed the monster. One day the person who had to be given to the dragon was the princess. The story says, that when the dragon was going to eat her, Saint George appeared and saved her, killing the dragon. From the blood of the dragon a rose bush was born and Saint George gave a rose to the princess and the village was saved.

My accent nail is the flag of Catalonia as we are also celebrating a important patriotic day as Sant Jordi is our saint patron.

Here’s a close up of my nail so you can see the little roses I did. The flash doesn’t show the colors of the roses but you can see them a bit better from close.

These are the colors I used for my design including a new red my sister bought:

I hope you like this design and you enjoyed the story behind it. If you have any questions about this tradition ask me, don’t forget to like and comment. And again Happy Sant Jordi to all of you!

Apples Tutorial

Today I will be showing you how to make the complete Apple fruity fruity! mani. So let’s get the show started!

Little Apples:

1. Use your favorite base coat and apply a netral/nude base color for your design. I chose my favorite nude Cookies and Cream by Essence.

2. With a thin brush, dotting tool or even tooth pick, draw little apple shapes on your nail. You can use any color: green, red… Start with the top of the shape, like you were going to draw a heart and then make it rounder at the end, like this you will create a litte apple.

3. Fill every nail with little apples in all the directions you want.

4. With a brown polish make the little tails. Just curve them to a side or another, you can’t do this wrong.

5. Take a green polish for the leaf. With a brush or dotting tool just make a dot and slide the brush to the tail of the apple to create the shape of the leaf. don’t worry if it isn’t perfect it’s just a leaf. If you accidentali went over the brown polish don’t worry just go over the brown again to cover the green. In fact I did this on all the apples to give them a cleaner look.

6. Apply your favorite top coat and you have finished! It’s time to show off this cute design perfect for spring.

To make your design a bit more interesting you can add an accent nail. On my ring finger I did a hole apple just to break a bit with the design so it wouldn’t be the same. Here you have how to make this accent nail.

Accent nail:

1. Start with a naked nail. You should a apply a base coat to protect your natural nails. Mine is already stained, problems of a polisholic.

2. With a thin brush or dotting tool, life before we will draw the shape of a heart. It doesn’t have to be symmetrical. Remember it’s an apple and they aren’t perfect. Just be careful you leave plenty of space for the details (tail and leaf)

3. Fill in the apple. Just as befor you can do the apple any color. I used Feme Fatal by Essence.

4. Pick the same brown polish you used for your little apples and draw the tail, curving it to one side.

5. Use any green for the leaf, I used Not A Greenager by Catrice. Rememer it’s the same technique as before: dot and slide until you touch the tail. Here you can also go over the brown to cover any green you got there by accident.

6. Add you favorite top coat and this gorgeous apple is ready to rock.

I hope you  try this design and let me see if you do. Don't forget to share, like and comment if you have any questions or suggestions. Happy polishing!

Apple Fruity Fruity!

It is strange but i had never painted food on my nails. Well I once did a candy cane theme mani but never real food. I decided to do little red apples because they are just the cutest and sexiest fruit, don’t you think?

They are a prefect mani for the spring so fresh and sweet. What do you think? Do you like them? I have been quite busy these days, my last manis have been quite simple but I’m planning on some new stuff a bit more complex. I hope they turn out decent enough to post them.
These are the colours I used for this design:

To clean my brushes I use a cotton pad and this is what it looked like when I finished painting my nails. It kind of looks like an apple tree. Curious, don’t you think?

Let me know what you think about this design and don’t forget to share, like and comment. I will be posting a tutorial of these nails later today. I hope you like it and try them yourselves.

Purple Nails for Boston

This purple for Boston is going around Instagram and I had to do it. I heard this morning and it’s terrible. What’s the matter with this world? I have no words, I mean it’s a marathon, running, sport, health… who would want to ruin such an event? I send my best wishes to all the families affected by this tragedy.
Today I bought this new silver holographic polish from KIKO and I couldn’t wait to swatch it, but when I saw the purple theme on Instagram I decided to get my new Catrice polish Shopping Day At Bluemingdales, a kind of violet color and put it straight away for Boston. It doesn’t really show here with this light but it isn’t blue, even though it looks like blue. Damm flash…

I thought the colors were gorgeous but they needed something else so I added some squares with a light purple also from KIKO. And they turned out really nice. The holo is amazing and the pastel purple just gives it a fresher look.

These are the colors I used for this mani. I had to take the picture without a flash because the purple keep showing like it was blue! And it isn’t!!!
I hope you enjoyed this mani and you send all your best wishes for the families in Boston. Don't forget to share, like and comment if you have any questions or suggestions. Happy polishing.

Game of Thrones

Well today let’s get a bit nerdy. I did a Game Of Thrones mani. I am totally obsessed with this TV show and I had to do some nail art for it. I decided to do the main families sigils. I picked Stark, Targaryen, Lannister and Baratheon. They didn’t quite turn out how I expected but oh well things never go as planned.

My index finger is a wolf for house Stark from the north, my middle finger is a dragon’s head for house Targaryen from Valyria, ring finger is supposed to be a lion’s head… I know you would never tell… well this lion head is for house Lannister from King’s Landing and on my pinky stag’s horns for house Baratheon from the Stormlands.
On my thumb I decided to write GoT the initials of the TV show over a base color that I had never worn yet. It’s Genius In The Bottle by Catrice and it just looks amazing and really fits the mani.

Lots of things could be improved in this mani but, as it’s said, practice makes perfect so I won’t stop practicing until one day I can draw perfect lions’ heads, lol.

Here are all the colors I used for this design including this wonderful duochrome by Catrice which turns like green and then gold and blue with light it’s just gorgeous.

Do you watch de show? Let me know if you liked my mani and what you think about Game Of Thrones.
What do we say to death? Not today. But what do we say to polish? I want you everyday. Don't forget to share, like and comment if you have any question or suggestion for me. Happy polishing!

Mosaic Nails

Hey guys. I decided to post a Mosaic mani. This design is perfect for spring and super easy to do. I love how it turned out and I recieved lots of compliments on my nails, even this woman at the bank told me they were really nice and that I should do hers. My friends and family members asked me if they were Gaudí inspired nails. They actually aren’t but hey they could pass as a Gaudí art work, don’t you think?

These are all the colors I used for this design:

Hope you liked this design, don't forget to share, like and comment if you have any questions or suggestions for me. Happy polishing!

Water Lilies

Today’s mani is a flowered theme. I have always thought water lilies are beautiful and the other day this design came to my mind. It’s fast and easy to do. In fact you don’t need to be really good, you don’t even need to have steady hands. You just need a thin brush and little strokes to creathe the petals of the flower. I will post a full tutorial on this design shortly.
I hope you like this design and try yourselves. Happy polishing!
