Color block & Paisley: Opposites Attract

Hi guys! How did your week start? Yesterday I did my last exam before Easter break and I already feel like I'm on holiday. I feel like I want to paint my nails all the time, must be spring mixed with this feeling of the holidays getting nearer.

Today I bring to you a really cute design I did last night while watching Game of Thrones. You wouldn't think these two things go together but in fact Chelsea King thought it would be great to put color block and paisley together and I love it.

The straight lines of the color block contrast perfectly with the curves and delicacy of the paisley pattern. I fell in love with the idea and I had never done either of the designs but I adore it. Paisley has a new fan and it's me!

In addition I absolutely love the colors I chose specially the darkest blue I used for the background of the paisley. It's Sunset Paradise by Essence. I also love the second darkest blue, the bottle I'm holing in the pictures which is by MO a Catalan brand, I think. The following photo is a close up and excuse the strangeness of the colors... Everytime I upload it the colors get messed up.. I've edited it like 10 times and it looks weird.

I really love how these turned out. I will cry when I have to take them off... But well this is what we do right? Ephemeral art, our nails look pretty for a day or two and designs have to die to let space for new ones. I think I got a bit trascendental today. Well I hope you liked this design. Can't wait to show you what I did for the day 2 of the Nail-Art-A-Go-Go Challenge!

    1. Thank you Lindsey! I had never done it before and I thought it would be so hard for it to look nice but it was just so natural to paint. I love it and I will be doing it more often
