Books and Roses

Happy Sant Jordi everyone! Can you remember last year's explanation of what Sant Jordi is? Well I will refresh your memory. It's a special day here in Catalunya, it's like a national day and it's also the day of the book and the rose. People, specially couples, give roses and books to each other it's a lovely day. Check my last year's design and post for more information.

Last year I did roses and the Catalan flag. This year I wanted to put both elements on a design, both books and roses. I really like how it turned out this time. I can't believe how much I've improved when I look last year's design.

Doing this design I've realized I need to improve my roses. It's not something I do often. I like florals but roses are not really my thing. I like them so I'll try to do some more and improve them.

I had a wonderful day today. Everyone liked my nails and there were lots of fun activities at the campus, concerts and all kind of stuff. I got sunburnt though, but it was totally worth it.
